With the L & R Boat Latch, launching and retrieving your boat should be easy. But when the roller is not extended enough, this could lead to challenges. This is where the Roller Extender option comes into play.
When it’s working well, the roller acts as a bumper, wedging between the bow of your boat and the towing eye. It also helps keep the boat from moving up and down on the trailer when being towed. But when the roller is not long enough, this can lead to challenges with launching and retrieving your boat.
The Roller Extender is used where the roller needs to be able to project out further to the bow. This is more commonly required on Towing Eye (Aluminium) boats.
Best performance with the L & R Boat Latch is achieved by ensuring the latch system and all associated trailer fixtures work together to perform each function correctly. Kit includes 2 x roller side extender plates. 6 x M12 x 25mm bolts, nuts and washers required.
