362cc Two-Cylinder Single

The four-valve, two-cylinder, single overhead camshaft delivers sufficient torque from low to mid speed ranges, for a quick response and smooth operation.

Easy Start Decompression Device

For easy pull starting, these engines feature an auto decompression device fitted to the camshaft. This system releases pressure in the cylinder when the manual pull-start is engaged, allowing for light and convenient pull starting.

Ergonomic Carry and Control Handles

Large comfortable grips located on the front and back of the engine make carrying, mounting and removing the engine easier. The tiller handle folds neatly back to make the engine even more compact for carrying and storage.

Fresh Water Flushing System

Simply connect a hose to the easy access connector to flush salt and dirt from the outboard, without having to run the engine. Flushing the engine after each usage reduces corrosion and extends the engines life.

High-Output Alternator

A 12 Volt 10 Amp high-output alternator ensures that power is always available to start the engine, even after long periods of idling or running at low revs. This provides extra starting power and delivers sufficient power to run a wide array of on-board electronic devices.

Labyrinth Exhaust System

Yamaha’s proven labyrinth exhaust system reduces engine noise at low RPM and idle. A water sealed outer wall around the exhaust muffler effectively reduces exhaust tone, for whisper quiet operation and enhances cooling, which protects the exhaust system against corrosion.

Manual Tilt Shallow Water Drive

This engine features a three-step shallow water drive system, which is extremely useful for tackling Australia’s shallow rivers, estuaries, creeks and when coming to shore.

Prime Start

Yamaha's Prime Start TMmakes starting as easy as starting a car. It allows the engine to be started cold by automatically controlling the engine ‘warming up’ process - eliminating the need for a conventional choke and the

Anti-Corrosion Paint System

Yamaha engines are known for their durability and high re-sale value. Part of this lies in the anti-corrosion protection. A unique YDC-30 aluminium alloy and 5-stage exterior paint coating process protects the engine's exterior parts, while high-quality, marine-grade stainless steel componentry is used through-out.

Strong Tiller Handle

Engine operation is made easy with the sturdy tiller handle which includes a large front shift, bigger throttle grip, a stop switch and for power trim models, a convenient PT switch.
